FAQ

+ Where is NOCHI located?

We are located at the corner of Howard Avenue and Carondelet Street in New Orleans' Central Business District. We are conveniently located to the French Quarter, Downtown New Orleans, the Garden District, the New Orleans Convention Center, and countless other attractions.

+ What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

You will find ample street parking and several paid parking lots in the blocks surrounding NOCHI. The streetcar also runs directly outside our building!

+ What are your COVID-19 and age requirements?

With the rapidly changing COVID-19 climate, we cannot guarantee which guidelines will be in place at the time of your class. However, we always comply with mandates from the City of New Orleans, and we require all participants to be fully vaccinated OR show proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours.

As for age requirements, most classes are designed with adults in mind, but guests from 12 to 16 years old are welcome to participate if they are accompanied by adult chaperones and have signed waivers to acknowledge the inherent risks of cooking.

+ We have dietary restrictions! Can you accommodate?

Absolutely. Our menus offer a host of options and substitutions so that everyone in your group will leave happy and well-fed. Just let us know in advance and we'll be happy to take care of them.

+ What is the dress code for hands-on classes?

For hands-on classes, closed-toe, no-slip shoes are required. Please feel free to wear any clothes that will keep you comfortable while you cook, as long as they aren’t made with loose, flowy material, which can be a hazard. If you have long hair, it’s a good idea to tie it back.

+ Can I add extras to my class?

From personalized commemorative aprons to charcuterie boards and desserts, we have everything you need to add a little lagniappe to your event. Let us know what you're looking for. We're eager to accommodate!

+ What time do we eat?

In most hands-on classes, we’ll devote the first 1 1/2 to 2 hours to demo and hands-on cooking. After that, we’ll sit down together for a family meal.

+ Can we take photos during class?

Feel free to document your experience with us and share it on social media with the hashtag #intheNOCHI! You can find us on Instagram @nochi_grams, on Twitter @nochi_tweets, or on Facebook. Please leave professional photography and video equipment at home.
