Job Requirements: • Genuine enjoyment and proficiency in preparing food for breakfast and events
• Great leadership skills! Walk the talk. This person is required to perform hands-on work including washing dishes, cleaning kitchen and dining room every day after breakfast service. As a GM this person is also expected to be able to perform all other functions of the Inn, including housekeeping. This person will not generally perform these functions, but needs to be proficient in them enough to lead the team and jump in when help is needed.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English, Spanish is a plus
• Excellent customer service, sense of urgency in response times and addressing guest and staff concerns and feedback
• Strategic about handling conflict: balancing guest and staff concerns with business needs, always maintaining a professional, calm and collected demeanor where listening to guests and staff comes first
• Being genuine about guest and staff interactions. Must be a people person with kind and friendly demeanor, who is able to set boundaries in a firm yet gracious way and is able to remain calm and collected in the heat of the moment
• Being flexible, adaptable, agile, open minded, with the desire to learn and grow
• Learning falcon-like skills: ability to see the 30 000 foot view, and also ability to zoom into the details as needed
• Provide all required Inn guests services including breakfast preparation, serving and cleanup, and check-in 5 days per week (7-11 am)
• Perform 24/7 on-call services for 5 days per week including but not limited to answering business phone calls, as well as troubleshooting and resolving unforeseen issues
• Perform check-ins onsite (2-5 pm), work from home in the afternoons when there are no events or no guests checking in
• Main point of contact for event booking requests and throughout event booking process and execution:
o Responding to website and third party website inquiries within 24 hours of receipt
o Sending events packets and adding information to our online events tracker
o Putting together custom proposals for guests and following up
o Sending contracts for signature using our existing contract templates and online signature platform
o Loading event to our reservations system and collecting payment
o Being present during event supervising
