Meet a NOCHI Student: Pryce Gaethe

Pryce Gaethe is in our June ‘24 Baking & Pastry cohort, a returning student after graduating from the Culinary Arts certificate program in December 2023. Pryce was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana but has traveled all over the country in recent years as a member of the US Coast Guard. During this time, he fell in love with cooking and hospitality and quickly realized it was his passion. He feels great food and hospitality offer a safe place for people, a place where they can leave their worries behind, and any stress from the world can disappear even if just for a moment. After NOCHI, Pryce would like a chance to learn and work under a mentor at one of New Orleans’ storied fine dining restaurants.

Did anything surprise you about NOCHI once you started?

I’d say the size of the building and the awesome equipment inside the labs.
