Join us for a taste of New Orleans

The 3rd Hour of TODAY is headed to New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras, and we want you to join us! On February 28, 2025 | 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., the 3rd Hour of TODAY anchors will be hosting the first-ever “Taste of New Orleans,” a fun-filled, exclusive, and in-person TODAY Food reception. 

Join TODAY anchors as they chat with some of New Orleans' favorite chefs: Edgar “Dook” Chase, IV, Zoe Chase, Toya Boudy and Alon Shaya. They'll talk about life in the Big Easy and how they make their favorite celebration dishes. All guests will be treated to a delicious, three-course meal. 

You can see it all in person, and you’ll get the opportunity to ask questions and enjoy the fun! Come hungry!

Join instructors of the New Orleans Culinary & Hospitality Institute for a DIY Pizza Party, explore our state-of-the-art facilities, and learn about our 6-month certificate program. If you love food, our accelerated and completely unique program can fast-track your career and broaden your network. Financial assistance available.

Make your own pizza in our baking and pastry kitchen with our chef-instructors. We will lead campus tours throughout the event, where you can see NOCHI's teaching kitchens, classrooms, and event spaces.

Diageo Learning Skills for Life (LSFL) is a training program that opens career pathways in bartending and hospitality while providing life skills to members of our New Orleans community. LSFL provides specialized spirits industry skills and develops life skills to help program graduates land high-quality industry jobs within NOCHI and Diageo’s large network of employer partners. There is no cost to participate.


NOCHI seeks Accreditation with the Council on Occupational Education

New Orleans Culinary & Hospitality Institute is applying to become a candidate for accreditation with the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education. Persons wishing to make comments should either write to the Executive Director of the Commission, Council on Occupational Education, 7840 Roswell Road, Bldg. 300, Suite 325, Atlanta, GA 30350, or submit comments on the Council’s website (www.council.org).
